چکیده

data types Data structures generally have collection of operations or functions associated with them. An abstract data type is a data structure together with its collection of associated operations and functions. This is a familiar concept: 1. the integers support equality together with arithmetical operations including division with remainder and binary relational predicates; 2. reals, in their computer incarnation as floating point numbers, support unqualified division (except by 0) but not equality; 3. sets support union, intersection, difference, membership test, add and delete member, and so on; 4. the subtype relation supports navigation between subtype and supertype, including a transitive closure operation; 5. the part-whole relationship supports the mereological operations and predicates, including mereological sum and transitive closure of parthood. 15 See Mereology in Explanations

Formal versus Material Ontologies for Information Systems Interoperation in the Semantic Web

Information systems ontology is intended to facilitate interoperability among the many applications which are now becoming available on the Internet. In particular, it is intended to facilitate the development of intelligent agents which can automate a large part of the task of a user achieving some end employing multiple autonomous applications. A large number of ontologies exist supporting sp...

Presenting a method for extracting structured domain-dependent information from Farsi Web pages

Extracting structured information about entities from web texts is an important task in web mining, natural language processing, and information extraction. Information extraction is useful in many applications including search engines, question-answering systems, recommender systems, machine translation, etc. An information extraction system aims to identify the entities from the text and extr...

A Scalable Framework for the Interoperation of Information Sources

Resolving heterogeneity among information systems is a crucial problem if we wish to gain value from the many distributed resources available to us. Problems of heterogeneity in hardware, operating systems, and data structures have been widely addressed, but issues of diverse semantics have been handled mainly in an ad-hoc fashion. In this paper, we present ONION, a system based a scalable appr...

An Approach for Query Processing in Global Information Systems based on Interoperation across Pre existing Ontologies

There has been an explosion in the types availability and volume of data accessible in an information system thanks to the World Wide Web the Web and related inter networking technologies In this environment there is a critical need to replace or complement earlier database integration approaches and current browsing and keyword based techniques with concept based approaches Ontologies are incr...

A Graph-Oriented Model for Articulation of Ontology Interdependencies

Ontologies are knowledge structures to explicate the contents, essential properties, and relationships between terms in a knowledge source. Many sources are now accessible with associated ontologies. Most prior work on use of ontologies relies on the construction of a single global ontology covering all sources. Such an approach is not scalable and maintainable especially when the sources chang...
